When you wake up at 9:00 am on a Saturday morning all that's going through your mind is, i'm not not getting up. It's Saturday. I don't have to go to work, and I don't have anything to do, i'm sleeping in! Then, after about thirty minutes of drifting in and out of much needed sleep, you hear the television. You hear laughing, or screaming, or crying; little feet pounding on the floor from running, or the sound of a thud from a well placed (or not so well placed) landing from a jump off the couch. All these sounds and movements let you know: The kids are up! So much for sleeping in. So what do you do? Drag yourself out of bed and do the job you never get time off from. Being a parent. The most important job you'll ever do.
First thing on the agenda: What's for breakfast? Even though there are two (or how many there may be) compact balls of energy swirling through your house, you still have to feed them. Which is going to create more energy, which is going to allow you to get less sleep and rest. After feeding them you get to clean up the mess from cooking, the mess from them eating, and the mess they've made on themselves.
This is just a small peek into some peoples Saturday mornings. Not everyone has kids, so not everyone knows what it feels like to not have a day off. Having kids can be very frustrating and complicated. There are alot of hardships and emotional battles that come with having kids, but the main thing everyone that has kids, and anyone thinking of having kids, needs to know is: You will never experience the unimaginable joy you get from having kids by doing anything else. So, anyone thinking of having kids; think long and hard, it's a big change. As for anyone who already has kids, you've already experienced that joy, if not, give it time it'll come.
